Time to reflect on where I am at with walking named Long Distance Footpaths.

To date I have completed the following walks as listed on the LDWA website …
Cumbria Way – 70 miles from Ulverston to Carlisle in Cumbria.
Danelaw Way – 60 miles from Lincoln to Stamford.
Grand Union Canal Walk – 138 miles from Thames Lock, Brentford, to Gas Street Basin in Birmingham.
Grand Union Canal Walk : Northampton Arm – 5 miles from Gayton Junction to Northampton.
Grand Union Canal Walk : Paddington Arm – 13 miles from Bull’s Bridge, Hounslow, to Little Venice, Paddington.
Grand Union Canal Walk : Slough Arm – 5 miles from Cowley Peachy Junction to Slough.
Grantham Canal – 33 miles from Grantham to Nottingham.
Peakland Way – 96 mile loop of the Peak District starting and finishing in Ashbourne.
Rutland Round – 65 mile circuit of Rutland, the county that isn’t actually a county, starting and finishing in Oakham.
South Kesteven Round – 130 mile circular walk around South Kesteven, starting and finishing in Grantham.

Grand Union Canal : Leicester Line Canal Walk – 79 miles from Norton Junction to Langley Mill.
Hereward Way – 110 miles from Oakham, Rutland to Harling Road Station, Thetford.
Jurassic Way – 88 miles from Banbury, Oxfordshire to Stamford, Lincolnshire.
Kennet and Avon Canal – 94 miles from the River Thames / River Kennet in Reading to Bristol.
Macmillan : Cross Britain Way – 279 miles from Boston, Lincolnshire to Barmouth, Gwynedd.
Melton Round – 56 mile circular walk around Melton Mowbray, starting and finishing in Nether Broughton.
Trent Valley Way – 108 miles from Shardlow, Derbyshire to Alkborough, North Lincolnshire.
Uppingham Round – 69 miles around Uppingham, starting and finishing in East Norton.
Viking Way – 147 miles from Barton-upon-Humber, Lincolnshire to Oakham in Rutland. 
Wainwright’s Coast to Coast – 182 miles from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire.

During 2022, I hope to complete some of the above and maybe start walking some of the following …
Angles Way – 77 miles from Knettishall Heath in Suffolk to Great Yarmouth. My intention is to walk this to Great Yarmouth after completing the Hereward Way at Harling Road, Thetford.
Around Corby – 31 miles around Corby starting and finishing at East Carlton Park.
Cross Norfolk Trail – 96 miles from Kings Lynn to Great Yarmouth. Most likely I’d walk it in the opposite direction, heading to Kings Lynn, after completing the Angles Way in Great Yarmouth.
Dales Way – 78 miles from Old Bridge, Ilkley to Bowness-on-Windermere.
England Coast Path – 2795 miles! This is not fully open yet and I wouldn’t even start it until more stretches are completed. Latest updates on Natural England’s progress with this project can be found HERE.
Grand Union Canal : Aylesbury Arm – 6 miles from Marsworth Junction to Aylesbury.
Grand Union Canal : Wendover Arm – 7 miles from Bulbourne Junction to Wendover.
Hobblers Way – 193 miles from the mouth of the River Nene to the Severn Bridge.
Isle of Wight Coast Path – 70 mile coastal circuit of the Isle of Wight. Plans in place to complete this in June 2022.
Jubilee Way (Leicestershire) – 21 miles from Burrough Hall Country Park, Leicestershire to Woolsthorpe by Belvoir in Lincolnshire.
Leicestershire Round – 102 mile circular route through Leicestershire, starting and finishing in Bradgate Park.
Macmillan Way : Boston to Abbotsbury – 290 miles from Boston, Lincolnshire to Abbotsbury, Dorset.
Market Harborough Round – 71 miles around Market Harborough, starting and finishing in Hallaton.
Nene Way – 114 miles from Badby, Northamptonshire to the Wash at Guy’s Head, Sutton Bridge.
Trent and Mersey Canal Walk – 95 miles from Runcorn, Cheshire to Shardlow, Derbyshire.
