The Viking Way is a long distance path which stretches 147 miles, north to south, from Barton-on-Humber, on the south bank of the River Humber, to the market town of Oakham in Rutland. The route officially opened on Sunday 5 September 1976 and links with many other long distance paths along its length.

I started walking the path on Thursday 22 November 2018 and this is my progress to date …

Day 1 : Barton-on-Humber to Barnetby le Wold (14.8 miles) – Thursday 22 November 2018

Day 2 : Barnetby le Wold to Walesby (15.39 miles) – Tuesday 4 December 2018
